“How much does a website cost?” is a commonly used search combination that is searched for in Google. Apparently many entrepreneurs find it difficult to estimate how much a website can really cost. All those different providers don’t make it easy for you either. In principle, making the website itself does not cost that much money. You can have a good website for 1000 to 2000 euros, but this amount gives a distorted picture of the real costs of a website. Because what about the costs afterwards? We always tell our customers that a website is never completely finished.
The cost of a website is determined by many factors. This makes it difficult for us to name 1 standard price for you. The cost of a business website depends on:
Based on these (and other) factors, we will prepare a quote for the one-off costs. Whether you think this amount is high will mainly depend on your own expectations, but these one-time costs only indicate what your website costs in the short term.
One time : 395,-
From : 589,-
Specifically ?
Are the costs of your new website based only on the purchase price? This will give a distorted picture of the actual costs. The time investment and your long-term commitment are decisive for the success of your website and should therefore not be forgotten. Costs are incurred when you invest in:
The calculation example provides a cost overview for a normal WordPress website with ~10 pages. The amounts are based on the average of various assignments that we have performed in the past. The costs for the web texts do not apply if you can supply them yourself. We advise you to edit this as yet, so that your website has a greater chance in the Google search results.

Not all parts will apply to your own situation. The cost of online marketing will depend on your plans. Keep in mind that these costs require an effort to keep your website up to date and increase visitor numbers. For other types of websites, for example web shops, additional costs will be added and the time commitment is much greater. The amounts and figures mentioned are an indication and no rights can be derived from them.
The costs for a website therefore consist of two parts: the costs for the purchase and the costs to make your website successful. If you don’t want to invest in the latter, it’s better to ask yourself whether you really need a website. If you do not intend to keep improving or promoting your 1000/2000 euro website, 2000 euro for a website can be a lot of money.
Whether a website costs a lot of money will depend on your own expectations. However, when the costs for a website are compared with the costs for offline promotional material, a website is usually more economical. Offline promotional material has to be created over and over again and just a small change can cost a lot of money. In addition, a website has the advantage that you can provide much more information to the reader. A flyer is much shorter and therefore cannot provide complete information. Of course you don’t have to choose between both forms of communication and the combination can yield more results.
Your customers are also online and today the development of a website is often much cheaper than, for example, a flyer. And your website will also last A LOT longer than a flyer.
This cheapest form of promotion is very powerful and can generate more customers itself than a website that is well-liked. Of course, a website can also strengthen word-to-mouth. After a potential customer has heard from his friend or neighbor that you provide the product/service, he will try to find your website via Google . It would be a shame if you don’t have a website!
At wekreate. we know how much a website really costs and we tell the customer honestly what he can expect from his website. A good website is not built in 1 day and requires more than a starting amount. The time investment AND commitment are the actual costs. If all this is very much above your budget, a One-pager might be a better solution. The advantages of a one-pager can be found here. Over time, you can always convert it (or have it transformed) into a full-fledged website with more pages and functionalities.
